In memory of
Neven Stanisic
On March 22, 2021, the KD Service Group family tragically lost Neven Stanisic, a beloved employee and friend. Neven was doing the job he loved and was on-site to service an espresso machine at King Soopers in Boulder, Colorado. At only 23 years old, Neven was the second youngest victim in the inexplicable mass shooting at King Soopers.
Neven's parents immigrated to the U.S. after fleeing war-torn Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Not long after moving to Colorado, Neven was born and his father began his 25+ year career with the predecessor company of KD Service Group.
Throughout the years, Neven showed an interest in everything mechanical. He constantly borrowed his dad's tools to take apart toys or simply to learn how things worked. It was clear that his career path would closely follow his father's.
A SIMPLE WAY TO SHOW
HOW WE REMEMBER
Immediately after High School, Neven joined KD Service Group as a service technician and he immediately began to flourish. During Neven's five years with KD Service Group, he was known for being kind and softspoken, hardworking, trustworthy and reliable. He was the type of person you simply trusted to always do the right thing. He never complained and never had a harsh word for anyone.
Nothing we do will replace Neven but this family deserves to know how much Neven was loved and how much we love and appreciate them. As a company, we decide to remember Neven through a simple graphic on our service vans. Every van displays Neven's initials within a circle. A simple gesture that we will always remember him.
"He's one that you watched and made a mental note to ask his parents what they did to raise such a hardworking, generous and mature young man. This is a beautiful family. We've watched them grieve in ways that no parent should."
